Welcome to Sabah

Sabah is also fondly known as "Land Below The Wind", a name inspired by the famous author Agnes Keith during the colonial era. It is strategically located away from the typhoon belt and is blessed with sunshine and fine weather throughout the year.

The State capital of Kota Kinabalu is on the West Coast and is connected to major cities in the region by both the national airliner, Malaysia Airlines, and scores of other commercial carriers.

Her pride lies in the highest peak in South East Asia, Mount Kinabalu, about two hours drive from Kota Kinabalu. The mountain has been gazetted as a World Heritage Site and is a must see for visitors.

The Sipadan Island, an oceanic diving paradise on the East Coast, is world renowned for its unspoilt marine beauty.
