REPORT OF COURTESY CALL ON MADAM ELAINE KWAN, GROUP DIRECTOR OF SALES AND MARKETING, SUTERA HARBOR RESORT GROUP, ON 11TH OCTOBER 2022, 3.30 PM
THE PACIFIC SUTERA HOTEL, KOTA KINABALU – The SIE2023 delegates were led by Datuk Seri Panglima (Immediate Past Chairman of MICCI and Hon. Life President of FSI), joined by Mr Jared, Dr Andrew Sim, Pn Dayang Surianti Daud, Ms Marie Bernadette and Ms Ampuan Nurhameezah.
The Sutera harbor Resort group team was led by Madam Elaine Kwan and joined by Ms Alana Lingam.
The meeting began with introductory remarks from both sides.
DSP Wong Briefed Madam Elaine Kwan regarding the Sabah International Expo 2023 (SIE2023) that will be held at Sabah International Convention Center (SICC) next year. During the meeting,DSP Wong also mentioned and explained about the Sabah International Business Luncheon Talk 2023 (SIBLT) that will be held on the 21st September 2023.
In the meeting, Madam Elaine stated that Sutera Harbor is interested to be one of the official hotels for SIE2023 and is keen to be of assistance and support for the event. They are eager to partner up with the team to come up with various entertainments for the ambassadors and exhibitors that will be going for SIE2023. Ms Alana also mentioned that they can arrange transportation for the delegates and ambassadors from the airport to hotel and hotel to the expo venue. Madam Elaine mentioned that her team will liaise with SIE secretariats to create a package that would suit the ambassadors and exhibitors.
Some suggestions that Madam Elaine and her team offered for SIE2023:
- Offer exciting packages for the delegates that could include various activities that they can do with their family.
- Put together a welcome package for the delegates to make them feel welcome when they arrive.
Actions to be taken are as follows:
- The SIE secretariat will follow up the matter with the PIC for the matter.
- The SIE committee will review all the given suggestions and to act accordingly.
The courtesy call ended at 4.30 PM followed by a photo session.
