REPORT OF COURTESY CALL ON MR FAEZ NORDIN, CEO OF ANGKATAN HEBAT SDN BHD ON 4TH OCTOBER 2022, 9.30 AM
ANGKATAN HEBAT SDN BHD HQ, KOTA KINABALU - The SIE2023 delegates were led by Datuk Lee Swi Heng (Chairman of MICCI Sabah) and Mr Richard Lim ( President of FSI), joined by Ms Stella Liew, Mr Benjamin Lo, Pn Dayang Suriati Daud and Ms Marie Bernadette.
The Angkatan Hebat was led by the CEO, Mr Hj. Faez A. Nordin and joined by Micheal Hing.
The meeting began with introductory remarks from both sides.
Datuk Lee Swi Heng began by Briefing to Mr Hj. Faez A. Nordin regarding the planned Sabah International Expo 2023. Datuk Lee also introduced Mr Faez to the Malaysian International Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MICCI) and introduced Mr Richard Lim as The Federation of Sabah Industries (FSI) organization president. Datuk Lee then continued explaining to Mr Faez regarding SIE2023. The team also mentioned that after SIE2023, the event might be changed to be held yearly instead of biennial.
Mr Faez mentioned during the meeting that Angkatan Hebat Sdn Bhd has supported and sponsored Sabah International Expo over the years and would be delighted to continue supporting this coming SIE2023 as well as future SIE’s. Their team would be okay in providing transportation for the ambassadors, but it might be difficult if the expo would be done annually unless SIE2023 is backed by the Government and the Protocol & Consular department through budgeting and L.O etc. .
Some of the suggestions by Mr Hj. Faez A. Nordin for SIE2023:
- Approach and suggest to The Government Secretariat on providing transportation services for the delegates and ambassadors of SIE2023.
- Approach parties that have been involved in the Dubai Expo which has many branches i.e Yemen.
- Approach Angkatan Hebat Sdn Bhd subsidiary for monetary sponsorship.
Actions to be taken by are as follow:
- Follow up the matter discussed with the Person - In - Charge.
- Mr. Micheal Hing will arrange the meeting with Chairman Datuk Seri Dr Salleh Said Keruak.
The courtesy call ended at 10.30 AM with a Photo session of the SIE Committee and Mr Hj. Faez A. Nordin.
